After Conor McGregor went to Jose Aldo’s defense about cutting down to Bantamweight, “Junior” has taken the time to respond.

Indeed, Aldo worried a lot of people after pictures surfaced of him looking rather skinny in his drop down to 135 pounds.

Conor, meanwhile, said he was looking fine, and stopped the critics in their tracks for doubting Junior.

Upon hearing of Conor’s statements, Aldo took the time to respond in appreciation.

“Of course I took it to heart. The great champions know what it takes to sacrifice things for us to achieve things the other people, other fighters only dream of.”

“So it means a lot to me it comes from him.”

“He’s a champion in two weight classes. He knows the sacrifices that I’ve had to make and I really think the compliment [comes] to heart.”

Then weigh in day came, and “Junior” silence all of his critics by hitting the 136 pound limit, which is the maximum weight for a non-title fight.

After seeing his old foe hit his mark, Conor once again took to Twitter, this time to congratulate the Brazilian bomber.

Aldo will face Marlon Moraes in main card action at the stacked UFC 245 PPV event on Saturday Dec. 14, 2019 in Las Vegas.
