Conor McGregor makes #65 on Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list. McGregor, 30, had only one fight last year which he lost to rival Khabib Nurmagomedov and earned £24m for his effort.
The balance was made up with his share of the two million plus pay-per-view subscriptions which fell well below his predicted £50m, a far cry from the £100m he raked in from his 2017 match with Floyd Mayweather.
In addition to his fight with Khabib, an endorsement deal from Reebok helped, bringing in an extra $5 million, paired with profits from Proper No. 12, the whiskey he launched last year.
Even though McGregor has been named on the Forbes list for highest paid athletes, this time he joins a list which is a lot more extensive, including movie stars, television celebrities and musicians.
Singer Taylor Swift earned three times that with £147 and took top spot with Kylie Jenner not far behind in second place with £135.
Lionel Messi, at number 4 is the highest paid athlete with £102m playing for Barcelona and Argentina.
