Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal will collide on Nov. 2, 2019 at UFC 244 for “The Baddest Motherf**ker” belt in New York City.
But according to former UFC champ-champ, Conor McGregor, that belt was actually created in honor of him. Furthermore, he secretly helped the promotion to design the belt.
“I designed that ‘Bad Mother Fucker’ belt,” McGregor said (via MMA Junkie). “I actually designed that. I signed off on the design of how they are creating that belt.”
The title has yet to be displayed for the public as of this writing.
The made-up belt it self is set to have cost the promotion over $50,000. While it’s not a real UFC title, it does give Diaz and Masvidal bragging rights and some new hardware.
But they could win the biggest prize of them all, as the winner will likely face McGregor down the road. And according to “Notorious,” he is eyeing the winner.
“So most certainly that belt was brought into fruition, brought to life because of me: the real Bad Mother Fucker. So most certainly one of those men is on my radar.”
Of course, Diaz and McGregor have already fought twice, with Nate winning the first and Conor winning the rematch. That said, a trilogy fight between them is definitely big business.
As for Masvidal, he had been trying to get a fight against “Notorious,” but UFC president Dana White shut it down by saying Jorge was too big for Conor.
That said, regardless of the size discrepancy, if they both weigh in at 170 pounds, it’s fair game.
