Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo may not have the best relationship, but “Notorious” is coming to “Junior’s” defense.
After Jose Aldo decided to drop down to bantamweight from featherweight, many people questioned how he would do in his drop down to 135 pounds.
And after pictures of Aldo surfaced a couple of weeks out from his fight against Marlon Moraes on December 14, 2019, everyone started to worry about the Brazilian’s attempt to lose the weight.
In fact, they even questioned why he would put his body through it if it isn’t necessary. And while a lot of people think Jose is hurting himself, Conor thinks otherwise.
I disagree here. He looks more than on top of it in my experienced opinion. Well trimmed in advance, and naturally a lighter man now. This can only be done over a long length of time and with complete dedication. Respect! I wish him well and am excited to see him in this division

Conor knows a thing or two about the difficulties that come with trying to cut a lot of weight as detailed in this recent post.
McGregor and Aldo shared quite a bit of rivalry in the leadup to their fight at UFC 194, which Conor won in just 13 seconds. Still, despite their past bad blood, “Notorious” is wishing nothing but success for his old foe.
Whether or not the drastic weight cut affects Aldo against Marlon Moraes, remains to be seen.
