Last Saturday (Nov. 2, 2019) Jorge Masvidal defeated Nate Diaz at UFC 244 to claim the $50,000 “BMF” title in New York City.

The bout was a thrilling one throughout the first 15 minutes of action, until the ringside physician opted to make one of the worst calls in recent memory, putting a halt to the bout due to some cuts on Nate’s eye.

The outcome left both Jorge and Nate unsatisfied. That said, Jorge did win fair and square and likely set himself up for a shot at the Welterweight title. mMore importantly, however, he may have also locked down his biggest money-fight to date.

That’s because Conor McGregor was an interested observer, and took to social media to throw a not-so hidden callout toward Masvidal.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out Conor’s message is directed at Masvidal, as Jorge made the “three piece and soda” catchphrase famous after he got into a backstage altercation with Leon Edwards.

Conor has already openly come out and stated that he wanted the winner of the “BMF” title, as long as they spit-shined his belt when the time comes.

But that fight won’t happen next, as Conor will likely face Donald Cerrone in his highly-anticipated comeback fight at UFC 246 on January 18, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
