Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal are set to get it on this Saturday night (Nov. 2, 2019) at UFC 244 for the right to be called “baddest motherf**ker” in the MMA game. The winner will also walk away from Madison Square Garden with a new $50,000 “BMF” belt.

To make it even better, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson” will be inside the cage to present the belt to the winner.

Naturally, Conor McGregor will be a very interested observer come fight night, as he has already stated he wants to face the winner of the fight. As far as who he is picking to come out victorious, he thinks Nate will do enough to win.

“I think Diaz beats him,” McGregor said during a recent press conference in Moscow.

“He’s got crisper boxing, way more experience, I think Masvidal has had a good run, he’s on a two-fight win streak, the game is very forgetfull I believe. Our sport is,” he added.

“I think Diaz has enough in him to do it, I think he’s in a better space. You’ve got to factor in that, what kind of space is a fighter in. Because everyone is the best on their day. I think Diaz beats him.”

If anyone knows just what Nate brings to the cage it’s Conor, as he has already faced him two times before. At UFC 196, Diaz handed Conor his first-ever loss by choking him out, using his aforementioned boxing to set it all up.

In the rematch a few months later, “Notorious” got his revenge by winning a unanimous decision at UFC 202.

That said, Masvidal has been on a tear as of late, so defeating Nate in New York isn’t out of the realm of possibility. Either way, whoever McGregor gets will be a big-money fight for all parties involved.
