Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s rivalry is perhaps one of the biggest, if not the biggest the sport has ever seen.
The only one I can think of that rivals it is the one between former Light Heavyweight champions Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier, which one saw the two men brawled during a presser.
Still, through it all, McGregor is giving credit where credit is due, as he recently gave his arch-nemesis some praise.
During an impromptu question and answer session on social media, McGregor called “The Eagle” the best grappler in the business.
Of course, he also said he knows now how to stifle it.
“A phenomenal grappler fighter,” McGregor wrote about Nurmagomedov. “The current best in the sport with it. I’ve the answer however and they know it.”
Of course, Khabib defeated McGregor in 2018 using said grappling, as well as his submission skills.
McGregor has been on the hunt for a rematch, but it seems that is unlikely to happen anymore after Khabib retired from MMA two weeks ago.
