Conor McGregor has made many contacts and friends after exploding onto the MMA scene a few years ago. But perhaps a man who impressed Conor the most is current Russian president, Vladimir Putin.
In fact, “Notorious” recently revealed that he gifted Vladimir the first-ever bottle of his Proper No. 12 whiskey when he met him at the 2018 World Cup.
But since Putin is the leader of Russia, his security team had to test the drink for poison before accepting it.
“President Putin’s security detail is second to none as I’m sure you know,” Conor told the media in Moscow this week … “You don’t mess around with Vladimir. So, I gifted the bottle, I gifted it to his security.”“So, they had to take the liquid from the bottle to make sure the liquid was safe and it was not maybe poisoned or whatnot and then it was gifted to Vladimir Putin.”
Of course, it’s not like Conor would go as far as to poison a man he admires, but nevertheless security has to do its job when dealing with one of the most powerful men in the world.
Indeed, Conor was in Moscow this week on his media tour, and took it upon himself to reveals his comeback date for January 18, 2020.
