UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov retained his title this past weekend after choking out Dustin Poirier in the third round of their championship fight at UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi.
And sure enough, Conor McGregor was watching and quickly took to social media to shoot his shot and call for another fight against “The Eagle.”
In fact, “Notorious” said he wants the promotion to send him into hostile waters to face Khabib in Moscow.
Book my rematch for Moscow.

Khabib choked out McGregor at UFC 229 last year in a thrilling bout in Las Vegas, Nevada (highlights). Still, despite their fight, the rivalry between the two men didn’t end.
Indeed, Nurmagomedov went on record saying that the hatred and beef the two sides have toward one another will never end, meaning a rematch between them will sell a ton of PPV buys once again.
Of course, UFC president Dana White did state that Tony Ferguson is next in line to face “The Eagle,” which means the feisty Irishman will either have to ramp up his campaign or sit on the sidelines a little bit longer for his rematch.
Conor is truly wanting to do a “Rocky”-like comeback against the Russian champion, as in the movie Sylvester Stallone’s character goes into isolation to train for his big fight against Ivan Drago, much like Conor wants to do.
He also took it upon himself to travel to Russia to face the knockout machine, much like Conor wants to do. That said, if the two men do meet again, do you think it will be a happy, storybook ending for Conor the second time around?
