With only two events remaining for UFC this year, the promotion wasted no time in announcing big fights to kick off its first quarter of 2020.
And it all starts with none other than Conor McGregor.
The former UFC champ-champ will make his return to action on January 18, 2020 to take on Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC 246.
That will be UFC’s first event of the new year, a non-title five round war.
It truly is the best way to start 2020, as Conor is still the biggest star in the sport, and the bar he and Cerrone set will be high for the rest of the year.
The following month, UFC 247 will feature a light heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Dominick Reyes, while UFC 248 in March will see women’s strawweight champion Weili Zhang defend her title against former champ, Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
After that, the promotion has booked a lightweight title fight between champion Khabib Nurmagomedov taking on Tony Ferguson at UFC 249 on April 18.
Though not yet confirmed, Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier are expected to headline UFC 250 the following month in a heavyweight trilogy title fight.
Check out the pay-per-view (PPV) schedule below:
- UFC 246: McGregor vs Cerrone on Jan. 18
- UFC 247: Jones vs Reyes light heavyweight title fight on Feb. 8
- UFC 248: Zhang vs Jedrzejczyk strawweight title fight on March 7
- UFC 249: Khabib vs Ferguson lightweight title fight on April 18
- UFC 250: Miocic vs Cormier heavyweight title fight TBD
Keep in mind, that is only the PPV schedule, not Fight Night or ESPN events.
That said, which of those bouts listed above are you most eager to see?
