Conor McGregor has gone on record to say that if he should ever get a do-over against Floyd Mayweather, the outcome would be different.

Two years ago, Floyd defeated “Notorious” via technical knockout in the tenth round in what was Conor’s first-ever professional boxing match. Since then, McGregor has been lobbying for a rematch.

And according to Leonard Ellerbe, one of Floyd’s top associates, Mayweather would be willing to grant Conor another “ass-whooping” anytime he wants.

“That’s interesting. I hadn’t heard that but Conor McGregor knows he’s always welcome to that ass-whooping,” Ellerbe told TMZ Sports. “I have the utmost respect for Conor, Dana, and those guys. If Conor McGregor wants some of that smoke again, he knows what he’s got to do.”

Of course, since both men made well over $100 million for their first fight, there are several financial reasons why a rematch would make sense for both guys.

cSince their first bout, Mayweather has sine retired, though a rematch against Manny Pacquiao has been teased.

As for Conor, after coming up short to Floyd, he came up short against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. “Notorious” is eying a comeback to MMA, though it will be halted for just a bit longer since he previously suffered an injury in training.

Once he’s ready to get back into the fight game, he has options. Aside from several MMA stars wanting to share the Octagon with him, he now has two pro boxers willing to do the same, as Keith Thurman also recently called him out.
