A couple of years ago, Conor McGregor took on Floyd Mayweather in a big-money boxing fight that crossed combat borders the likes we’ve never seen before.

As expected, Floyd defeated Conor in the boxing arena given his vast experience.

Soon thereafter, Mayweather retired from the fight game and Conor went back to MMA.

A couple of years later and Floyd has now announced that he is coming out of retirement in 2020. More importantly, however, he was seen with UFC president Dana White court-side at an NBA game and announced a partnership with UFC.

That lead everyone to speculate as to just what both men have under their sleeves.

“@danawhite and I working together again to bring the world another spectacular event in 2020,” wrote Floyd. Now, we can speculate all we want after a TMZ report stated Floyd is interested in a “UFC crossover” event.

First off all, the biggest fight he can make is a rematch against Conor McGregor since their first fight broke the box office bank. Conor has been aiming for a do-over and Floyd hasn’t exactly shot it down.

Second of all, Mayweather is eyeing a rematch against Manny Pacquiao. Furthermore, Dana White is starting ZUFFA boxing in 2020, so perhaps Floyd is lending his expertise to the MMA boss in that area.

Whatever the case may be, Floyd coming out of retirement for whatever in any combat arena is big news for everyone. And anytime Mayweather is linked to UFC and Dana White, you know McGregor’s name has to be somewhere in there.
