After teasing his return to MMA a few weeks back, Conor McGregor is officially set to make his much-anticipated return.

UFC president Dana White has officially confirmed that “Notorious” will headline UFC 246 on Jan. 18, 2020 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that “Cowboy” gets the prize that is a fight against Conor, as he has long been one of the most respected fighters in all of MMA.

The two men were linked to fight on a few occasions, but it never came to be. That said, Cerrone never lost hope in trying to book the fight.

McGregor hasn’t fought since October 2018, losing to Khabib Nurnagomedov at UFC 229 via rear-naked choke. “Notorious” was then suspended for his involvement in the post-fight brawl with the “Eagle” camp.

Nevertheless, the king is back and he’s ready to start his march en route to regaining his throne. That said, this fight will take place in the Welterweight division, not Lightweight.
