ESPN’s Ariel Helwani has an in-depth chat with former UFC two-weight champion Conor McGregor on a host of topics, including his desire to return to the UFC, Khabib Nurmagomedov, future fights, Nate Diaz, his part in a bar altercation, anger issues and much more.
“I need to just stop reacting to the bait,” McGregor stated.
“People are trying to bait me into things. Am I the fish or am I the whale? I must be calm, I must be zen. I must lead by example. There’s so many people looking up to me. How can I react in this way? I need to get ahold of this and, like I said, I’m working very hard to do this.”
Conversation in the 41 minute chat soon shifted to UFC, with McGregor revealing he is desperate to get his world title back following his damaging defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov in October – where he believes his camp was incorrect.
